Good Party ATX teamed up with Friends of AAC to volunteer at Austin Animal Center. We stuffed kongs, walked dogs, cuddled cats, and got to see the teamwork that goes into helping animals in need at the shelter. At the Lustre Pearl East after party, one lucky dog got adopted by one of the volunteers - congratulations & happy tails, Bacchus! Do Good / Then Party with us on Saturday, November 18 and give back to the community while having a good time.

10am: Join us at Austin Animal Center where we'll volunteer at the shelter and give a buncha love to a buncha animals. Tasks will be easy: walking dogs, cuddling cats, helping with various AAC projects. You don't need any prior experience. Plus we'll have complimentary breakfast tacos from El Chilito! We ask that if you're coming to this portion of the event to please REGISTER HERE:

Noon: PARTY TIME at Lustre Pearl East. Enjoy drink specials, photobooth from Amurica, TX, treats & toys from Pupology, and good times. Can't volunteer earlier in the day? No problem! Come by the party and hang with us. We'll be accepting donations for the animal shelter here too. Supplies needed include: dog & cat treats, bedding, towels, leashes, and collars.

PLUS this shindig ends at 2pm and leaves you plenty of time to explore during the East Austin Studio Tour, which we highly recommend. Invite friends on Facebook, and we'll see you Saturday!

The Good Guide: DOUGHvember Tuesdays

'Tis the season to carb load for a good cause (that's a thing, right?). Every Tuesday in November, Home Slice Pizza is opening its dine-in doors and serving up pizza, drinks, and good times - all to benefit some incredible charities in town. Grab a pizza, a sub, or even a salad if you dare, and Home Slice Pizza will donate a portion of sales to these nonprofits. If you're feeling lucky (or charitable) you can also purchase raffle tickets for a shot at winning a year's worth of free pizza.

The Janet St. Paul Studio for Hair and Beauty is celebrating their new move to The Northshore Austin with “Vibrations Françaises” - a night of food, fashion, and beauty. A beautifully designed studio in the heart of downtown Austin, the Janet St. Paul Studio is a welcomed addition to the bustling 2nd Street District.

Taking place Thursday, September 21, Vibrations Françaises will not only feature bites from new French restaurant Le Politique, bubbles, and pastries, but it will also benefit Texas CASA and CASA of Travis County. These organizations speak up for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system. A night of French-inspired fashion and fun benefiting an important cause in our community? Oui s'il vous plaît!
